It has been 3 days since my last update on the ride. We are currently staying at Keremeos and watching the Canuks game.
I am happy with 68 kms ride today from Princeton to Keremeos after nursing my right knee for a couple of days.

Day 1 - Mission (BC)
74 kms. We made it to Mission around noon and will spend the night here. It was raining ALL day.

I have been overwhelmed with the support of management in helping me realize my dreams. I also appreciate my colleagues who have given me moral support and other forms of help throughout my preparation to bike across Canada. It is more than anything I could have asked for. I am so blessed to be part of the great team of Kwantlen where family and community spirit flourish.

The Ride
My preparation for the ride started as early as February. In addition to Rod’s advice, I did further research to make sure that I have everything I need for the trip. That was when Jane introduced me to Brian who cycled across Canada last year on the Paddle 4 Prostate tour and is currently cycling from Vancouver to Mexico on the Easter Seals on Wheels tour - http://eastersealsonwheels.wordpress.com/. Thanks to Brian for taking the time to share his cycling experience, and to Jason, who I know through Craigslist Vancouver, for giving me good advice on the bike I need for the ride.
